As a member of the Oregon Funeral Directors Association, Simon-Woodburn Chapel has the strongest professional affiliations we have ever been involved with. Their mandate has provided us with an association of trustworthy forward-thinking funeral directors who share our commitment to serving family's needs. This professional affiliation allows us to focus on service and value enhanced by a network which provides us with advancement of service standards and experience.
Additionally we are affiliated with the International Order of the Golden Rule. The mission of this organization is to provide a forum for interaction and information exchange for its members, to afford it's members the highest quality professional developement and continuing education programs, products and services related to the death care profession, and to serve as a resource to the public through our members on death care issues. The objectives of the Order include:
- Developing and encouraging the practice of high personal and professional conduct amoung funeral directors
- Promote the welfare of the funeral profession and the public whom we serve
- Provide the opportunity for exchange of information through discussion, study and publications
- Provide funeral directors with information, counsel and assistance on all matters relating to the practice of funeral directing by any means consistent with the public interest
- Cooperate with other groups of individuals in or related to the practice in the common endeavor to advance funeral service as a profession
The goal of our affiliations with these organizations is to insure that our customers receive the best possible service from a staff that not only has a wealth of experience, but also a staff that has access to the most up to date information available.  |
