Obituary for Albert Jeffers
Albert Russell Jeffers, 83 of Woodburn, Oregon went into the arms of Jesus at his daughter’s home, surrounded by his loving family on August 14, 2013.
Russ was born to Frank Albert and Myrtle May Jeffers on October 20, 1929 in Omaha, Nebraska. He was one of 6 children.
Russ is survived by his wife Dora of 64 years, son Randall and his wife DeAr of Las Vegas, NV, daughters Rhonda and her husband George of Wintergarden, Florida and Renee and her husband Randy of Hubbard, Oregon. Russ leaves behind 11 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and his oldest brother Sam Jeffers of Roseburg, Oregon as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Russ was preceded in death by sons Richard and Ronald, father Frank, mother Myrtle, sister Minnie brother’s Elmer, Milton and Charles.
Russ was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend to all. Russ was a minister and master carpenter. In fact he was known as a “Jack of all trades”. Russ loved to play his guitar and wrote many songs. Russ and his wife were missionaries to Mexico for many years, where they ministered to those in need. He was a man of great wisdom and was always ready to lend godly council.
Everyone that met Russ loved him and his enthusiasm for life. He loved people and was always ready to share a joke or two.

The family will receive guests for the viewing, Friday, August 23, 2013 at Simon-Cornwell Colonial Chapel, from 1-7 p.m.
A celebration of Russ’ life will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 24, 2013 at Simon-Cornwell Colonial Chapel, 390 N. 2nd St., Woodburn, Oregon.
