Jean Ann Schonholtz

Jean Patterson Schonholtz Jean Ann Patterson Schonholtz passed away peacefully in Woodburn, Oregon on January 30, 2022. She was born April 6, 1926 in West Palm Beach, Florida to the late Ernest Brown Patterson and the late Ruth Beatrice Patterson. The family relocated to North Carolina where they made a home in Chapel Hill. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in Medical Technology. She married James Schonholtz on May 17, 1957 in Pomona, California. She loved her work in hospital laboratories and was active in many Presbyterian Churches. She had a beautiful soprano singing voice and sang Opera in college and in church choirs. She and Jim crisscrossed the country living in Georgia, Mississippi, California, Florida and Colorado. Her last years were spent in Woodburn, Oregon. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Louis Schonholtz. She is survived by her brother, Major General Robert B. Patterson, USAF (retired) and wife, Sandra, of Peachtree City, Georgia, daughters, Cynthia Schonholtz of Woodburn, Oregon, and Susan Williams and husband, Keith, of Norwood, Colorado and son, John Schonholtz and wife, Cecilia, of Livermore, California, four grandchildren, Ty Williams and wife, Jayde, Jeff Williams, Christopher Schonholtz and Giselle Schonholtz and two great-grandchildren, Lincoln and Kase Williams. A memorial service will be held at a later time.
