Michael Henry Haener

Michael Henry Haener was born in Portland Oregon on January 8, 1949 to Delbert and Madelene Haener, who both preceded him in death. He attended St. Luke Catholic grade school, JFK High School, Mt. Angel College and Portland Community College. Mike married Linda in December of 1980. They raised their two children, Megan and Jake on their Woodburn farm. Mike was a strong determined man who loved his family. He was kind, generous, and fair to everyone he knew. Mike was the perfect picture of a farmer. Watching his crops grow and produce never ceased to thrill him. His work ethic was huge and never wavered until he was taken by Parkinson’s Disease on June 14, 2021. He batted the disease for 30 years, never letting it stop him. Mike lived his life to the fullest. He is survived by his wife Linda and his children Megan and Jake (Michelle). Also surviving him are his brothers and sisters, Marie Louise, Delbert (Nannett), Rich (Sue), and Madelene DeCosta (Jim). He was preceded in death by his sister Kathy Burnside (Chris). In addition, he is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He will be missed by all. A viewing will be held at Cornwell Colonial Chapel in Woodburn Thursday, June 24th from 3-6 pm followed by Recitation of the Rosary at 6. Funeral Mass will be Friday at 11:00 am. Burial Service to follow at Calvary Cemetery in Mt. Angel. Celebration of Life at 2:30 at the Aurora Colony Vineyards 21338 Oak Ln NE, Aurora, OR 97002 to follow funeral and burial.
