Ralph William Edwards January 13, 1941 – December 18, 2019 Ralph William Edwards passed away on December 18, 2019 at his home in Aurora, Oregon. He is laid to rest at Aurora Community Cemetery. Ralph was an extraordinary man with unique wisdom and uncommon experiences. With many stories to tell, and told vivaciously, Ralph’s astonishing blue eyes held a twinkle…and often a gleam of mischief! Ralph was born in Utah and lived for many years in Idaho working in mining and as a trapper. Ralph relocated to Oregon, working in sales and raising cattle. While in Idaho, Ralph shared his connection to the wilderness with his sons, gifting them his vast skills and knowledge of its perils and splendor. A father, a brother, a husband, a grandfather, an uncle and a friend, Ralph’s life is unforgettable. His presence was remarkable and immense. He is missed tremendously and deeply loved. “He had done this thing before, somewhere in that other and dimly remembered world, and he was doing it again, now, running free in the open, the unpacked earth underfoot, the wide sky overhead.” ― Jack London, The Call of the Wild
