Robert "Bob" Thomas Cornett
July 13, 1929 - September 8, 2020
Robert “Bob” Thomas Cornett was born July 13, 1929. It is with great sadness that his family announces that he went to plant his garden in Heaven on September 8, 2020. He left this earth just an anyone who knew him would expect, he quietly slipped away with his wife and daughter by his side. He was born to Thomas and Adie Loudale Cornett in Carlsbad, New Mexico. He graduated high school and enlisted in the United States Navy on September 1, 1950. After the Navy, Bob moved to Longview where he worked for Longview Fibre. He then moved to Yakima to work at his family’s Apple orchard. He moved back to Longview in 1966 where he married his wife Doris on October 2, 1967. They moved to the Lexington area where they resided until 2017 when they moved to Beaverton Or to be closer to family. Bob was most known for being a family man. There was nothing he loved more than spending time with his kids and grandkids/ great and great-great. When they weren’t visiting, he enjoyed working in his garden, growing the most amazing vegetables and flowers, watching Western movies and spending time with the love of his life. Anyone who knew Bob, knew him for his beautiful, kind eyes and his precious soul. Bob is survived by his soulmate just shy of 53 years, Doris; his sons, Tom Cornett, Rob Cornett (Pauli), Stan Gray, Mike Gray (Patty Eakes) and his daughters, Patti Wulf (Randy) and Sue Holen (Mike). He has 15 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and one great-great grandson, who all made him smile from ear to ear. He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Adie Loudale, his brothers Roy and Tim and his sister Dell. This man may be gone but will never be forgotten. He touched the lives of so many and made the world a kinder place just by being in it.
